I was looking for skin, I tried to make it look real but not too real. I wanted it to be easy to render but also different than what I had normally seen elsewhere, I wanted my skin.

I needed it to be imperfect.

I needed it to be like me, like my art and how I see it in my head. All at the same time.

I tried.

I tried multiple times, I failed, and I tried again.

Months passed by, and finally I noticed a glimpse of what I had visualized.

Then it got rough.

I thought I was losing inspiration so I started working on clothing to give myself another reason to stick trying my skin.

In the end I think I got it right.

Or at least I think I did. It’s better than how I started…
